Evangelism: Christian leadership, Research and Goal setting (EC1003) Elective, 18.0 Credits
About SMEA
Welcome to St Mark Evangelism Academy (SMEA) Service. This service began in 2017 as a twenty-week program that was originally based on the St. Paul School for Servants by Fr. Daoud Lamae, with a mission of helping members of the church in identifying service needs in the community and preparing them to address those needs.
St Mark's Academy helps young servants in deepening their understanding of the Orthodox Christian faith and preparing them for witnessing for Christ in their home, school, work, community or anywhere beyond.
SMEA offers units in evangelism, theology, biblical studies, church history, apologetics and many other beneficial units that are taught from an Orthodox perspective. The educational units offered are tailored for servants, young parents and anyone who is interested in witnessing for Christ to prepare them to be “ready to give a defense to everyone who asks (them) for a reason for the hope that is in (them)” (1 Peter 3:15).
We invite you to become part of our SMEA community, not just to study, but also to become an active servant and join one of the associated community service programs.
